1. Silvermoon City is a very bad place to start life in the Horde. First off you’ll likely be blinded by the shiny and end up lost for an hour trying to find the darned orb* to Undercity. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
2. The first step off the Zeppelin tower, once you finally get to the one that will take you to Dalaran, is indeed, a doozy. Bonus, I ended up in Brill somehow, so I bought a Bony Pony*.
3. No. No you may NOT use the Alliance portals.
4. When you fly to Borean Tundra, and land at whatever the hold is. Wait for the lift. Darned horde and their lifts!!
* In my 3 years of WoW, I have played Horde twice, neither got past their mid twenties. Thus I learned, thanks in large part to Kadomi and Daughters of the Horde (Jessmyn’s first guild was in fact Daughters of the Alliance) a bit of my way around. I apparently did not retain the “don’t fall of the….lift” lesson I had learned in Thunder Bluff on my Blood Elf Hunter.
Welcome to the light side, Lok’tar ogar! You have to embrace the lifts and the zeppelins with your horde spirit.
