It’s been a good week for The Guild of Guilds.. In my last post we celebrated the downing of Moroes. Everyones favorite ADD suffering butler. Yesterday, we got together again and decided it was time to use those Opera tickets. We breezed through the trash mobs, and talked to the director about going on stage. The curtain went up on The Wizard of Oz. Now, I sure wasn’t expecting to one shot this, being our first time going this far. But one shot it we did. I swear I’m standing there doing my healy thing thinking to myself “Where did that lion go? he was just here, I screamed he ran..” heal…heal…heal…”wheres Dorothy?” heal…heal…”Was toto even here?…oh look strawman is dead!”…heal heal…”Woot there goes Tinhead”…heal heal…”oh crap witch!…oh she’s dead too”…Cue “ding dong the witch is dead, let’s loot. Our raid healing priest received [item]Blue Diamond Witchwand[/item] and we sharded the [item]Eternium Greathelm[/item]. We moved on to Curator…he was ummm…interesting. We didn’t down him before our 3rd healer had to go, but we were all thrilled just to get that far.

Of course any time GoG gets in a group, there is at least one silly moment to take a snapshot of. Last nights moment we’ll call “on the third day of Christmas my guildies gave to me…3 floating priests”. In other random news, I got [item]Recipe: Stormchops[/item] from my cooking daily (fyi: Tanks, do not eat near yellow mobs in Steamvaults. And thank you Hairymuppet for being a test subject.). I only need the Skullfish soup now and I’ll have them all.

Three cheers for The Guild Of Guilds on Khaz’goroth for FINALLY killing the worlds most distracted butler! We ran Kara last night, one shotted Attumen as usual (who gave a hunter [item]Steelhawk Crossbow[/item] and our lock [item]Handwraps of Flowing Thought[/item]) thanks to a tank battle rezzing the fallen Jess…I <3 Druids!, then went for Moroes. This has been our sticking point for a while now. The adds worked to our advantage this time. We had the holy priest, ret pally, mortal strike warrior and prot warrior. For the first time in our history...no shadow priest. First two attempts didn't go too well, but we stuck with the plan. All dps on holy priest, off tank tanked the prot warrior until holy priest died, then he was burned down. Ret pally and MS warrior stayed shackled the entire fight. I dearly love my focus macro for shackles. The druid tank used vanish to his advantage (and mine) to shift and toss me an innervate. When I saw Moroes enrage, I almost danced in my chair! We've never even gotten him that far. When he went down...it was a party. Our pally tank took this moment to dance on Moroes' dinner. Our Pally healer received [item]Boots of Valiance[/item] and one of our hunters got [item]Emerald Ripper[/item].

We went for Maiden, and didn’t do badly, getting her to 42% before our last wipe. At that point people were tired, so we called it after a couple had to go, and a game of tag ensued in Stormwind. I love my guild. I also love getting 3x [item]Badge of Justice[/item] in Kara post patch!.

In other news, my hunter got some playtime last night as she cruised EPL with her sweetie (my real life hubby’s rogue, Arteus). While killing undead nightmares, he gave her some [item]Morning Glory Dew[/item] and a [item]Red Rose[/item]…awww. And shortly after we have….DING!!! And you can see her loyal pet Whispurr looking rather nonplussed about the whole thing.

Some days you’re the bug.

So last night, we ventured into Heroics. Me (Bandaids), the Tank, mage, hunter, lock. We tried Sethhekk Halls, couldn’t get past the first two mobs!! Immune to poly, immune to fear, immune to traps, and seduce! Dude WTF!!! So…we figured we’d try Crypts. A little better there, we got further in, but not much. So we deiced Shattered Halls for rep would be a better plan, that was going well until my head started pounding and I had to go to bed.

This all came after a wipefest in Kara on Moroes. Moroes…the name in itself makes me cringe. I swear that creep smiled as he came straight after ME when the tank pulled. I shackled my assigned add, then saw his nasty smile as he happily one shotted me into next month. At least I think it was a smile. It’s hard to tell, the dude has no lower jaw.

Now, this is not normally how our grouping goes. We usually zip right through anything we attempt. Except Kara of course. That comes with time. And we’re a casual guild so it’s not exactly a big deal on our main scheme of things. Regardless, we had fun, we always do. Recently we did Shadow Labs. My favorite outlands 5 man. Seriously. Yes, I know I must be nuts but I just love the place. We ended up losing our hunter to internet problems as we entered Murmur’s domain. Did that stop us? No. We cleared the room, and one shotted Murmur with 4 of us. And…and!! I got the pattern for [item]Spellstrike Pants[/item]!!!! Two drops in a row for GoG!! Go us!!

Tonight we helped one of our locks get her Flaming Pony of DOOM, and I don’t know what’s next. I’ll surely be healing something when I log back in…lol!
