Glyphing Shadow word death does not give you reason to use it ALOT on a target dummy. Dummy.
This patch has screwed with my style. Jessrayje is not at all impressed. There is no tabard in her tabard slot. NONE. Yet she logs in and sees this…
Now the design is cool. Colors are good too. But…I’m still not wearing a tabard!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN???
well, my lack of posts around here is bound to have left some cobwebs. But I prefer spider webs. So in place of an actual, you know, well thought out and meaningful post you get photos from my backyard this morning. But just so you know, I’m not falling into oblivion or anything. I’ve been doing things.
- I wrote my DA:O mage/Alistair ficlet. Posted both her and on fanfiction.net.
- I have started my first RP character profile for Warden’s Vigil, A Dragon Age RP community. This is my first RPG outside of a video game. And quite the challenge, even just writing the profile, as I haven’t done this since D&D tabletop 15 years ago.
That brings me to a small rant. I’m tired of writing snobbery. People that write fan fic, or even a blog, are putting their work out there, every day. It may not be paid work, it may be a hobby, but it takes guts. So for people to say “Oh you just write fanfic” as if it’s not REAL writing? Yeah, pretty damned ignorant. I’ve read fanfics that are superior to some books I’ve read. You know what? I’ve always enjoyed writing. Even as a little kid I’d write stories. Then, for some reason I stopped. I’ve picked it up again though, and found the snobbery annoying. It’s almost as annoying as the old argument that Photography isn’t an art. End rant.
Where was I? Oh right, my list.
- I’ve republished my first fan fic, unfinished, but with hopes I will get it going again. yay for putting it in my face to pressure me daily!
- I am waiting for FedEx to deliver my Droid. Hurry up!!
now, Photos!

Video says it all. My kid was bullied in elementary school, thankfully not to an extreme.
My friend Lizz and I were on the school almost daily, and teachers did step in when they saw things happening. The principal said he couldn’t do anything, and to take pictures if we saw it happening. That’s exactly what I did, since the bullies would start on the walk home. When the kids’ mom saw me with my camera she called the MP’s. But I know my photographic rights. No expectation of privacy in a public area. BE PROACTIVE! We can no longer just blow off this bullying behavious as “teenagers are mean”. It starts small, and grows into levels it should never be allowed to reach. Get the school involved, get the cops involved. Sure I spent an afternoon at the MP station over it, but it ended.
