As a child, I played with Barbies. I had all the accessories, including her horse 48d7_13Dallas. Dallas was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen as far as I was concerned, and Barbie was what I wanted to be when I grew up. Well, clearly that didn’t happen. First of all I’m a brunette, and not near as tall. However WoW has given me that chance.

My rogue, being that she’s opted to be a blonde, is my newest Barbie. No I did not name her that.  I couldn’t be THAT obvious. However, I did end up with a rather odd coincidence when I purchased her epic mount. I already have a white horse for my priest, and a chestnut for my hunter. So…the obvious choice was the Palomino.

So, I present to you….Badass Barbie, she stealths, she picks pockets without the slightest detection, she’s lethal with a pair of daggers!

Woot! 12:35AM Wednesday night, or Thursday morning however you count it, hubby got home from the field! I love surprises like that. He also found out at work just how to deal with my situation with not knowing what they’ll do after my ultrasound Tuesday. Simply take his cellphone with him when he leaves, if I call saying they decided on surgery, they’ll bring him back. Good news all around. Honestly, I’d put it off til the field problem was done, but these twice a week attacks that last more than a day are just not something I can deal with.

My kids asked me why I was cleaning so much this weekend, I just told them it needed done. But the truth is, I wanted everything done in case I got hit again. I hate this, ever time I eat something I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.

In other news, the following pics are from the World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King beta, I promised Miss Lizz I’d post some for her hubby, so feel free to just skip the cut…lol.

Leave has ended, hubby is back at work, and I’m back to rebuilding my routine. Really, I have one. Honest! And I’ve had a great time, even though we pretty much stayed home and played WoW. Hey, what can I say it was relaxing, and that’s all that counts.

Friday night, I did SSC with my druid, and we downed The Lurker! It took a couple tries, but we done did it. That big fish popped like a Pinata. I think it helped that he was still belly laghing at our little lemming incident. Hint, when someone falls off the ledge on the way to lurker, even if you see your raid leader standing on what seems to be a safe place to look, do NOT look over the edge. Suddenly you hear…

player one: I fell
player2: me too
player3: me too
player4: me too
Jess: ummm ooops?

Luckily for us humor is a required consumable on a raid.

Other than SSC, I’ve been mainly leveling alts. After my warlock hit 30, we used the hubby’s rogue to get my rogue to 30. Bad idea in hindsight. That grant a level thing is nice, BUT it took me a few days to get her gear to where she could fight mobs that level. I had engineering up pretty good, so no problem there. My mining was ok too. Poisons were easy to catch up, but I’m STILL working on the lockpicking, cooking, and fishing. My mage was granted 6 levels, she’s at 27, but she had the gear to handle it.  There is a good side, the 20’s is where I tend to get stuck on my alts. No mount, only a couple zones to choose from, and all that running. So I was able to skip that, and get moving.

With my rogue at 30, I’ve been mainly working on her. I can’t put her down! Which shocks me, because I’ve tried and failed so many times as a rogue. She’s at 33 now, and I just love playing her. So, it looks like she’s next to 70. But I’m not rushing. I rushed my others to 70. My priest because we needed healers, my hunter because my priest needed gold, my druid to catch up. This time I’m being more casual. Stopping to smell the roses. Explore a little. Maybe just her, or maybe when I level the mage and warlock, I’ll do the same, who knows. But I’ve found a couple cool things.

Sadly I have to take some time away from her this morning and do some dailies. Both in game and around my house. But you can bet she’s getting 34 today!

He Shall Be My SquishyAnd what I want I usually get. I’m stubborn that way. So when I saw some dwarf rogue and a  mini dwarf with their shiny new tabard, and adorabubble pet, I wanted one!! So, I waited til midnight on my server for the Olympic type event thing to start, and I decided I would get one too. That’s right, I…Jess, hater of PVP, went into not one, not two, but FOUR Alterac Valley battlegrounds. I got the tabard of course the first time. But didn’t get an Alliance win til the fourth. I even hit top healing on Drekk when a pally tank AoE tanked him and his guards, because two towers were still up. But I looked at my mailbox and there he was!! First win, and I got my precious!! While I was at it, I reviewed some gear. And have decided to try getting the vindicators Kodohide Boots since Chess hasn’t been nice to me. And I might see if hubby wants to suffer through some arenas so I can grab some legs and gloves. Both surprisingly are upgrades to what I have, and have the added benefit of stamina and resilience. I’ll lose a bit of spirit, but not enough to hurt. I’ll gain Mp5 actually. And I’ll be able to take more than half a hit before I drop dead. As a very wise (drunk…but wise) Dwarfadin once told me, all the +healing in the world doesn’t help when you’re dead.

Speaking of dead. I once again topped the death meters in Kara on my priest tonight. But being a priest, occasionally my deaths are quite dramatic. Like when I get eaten by a big skeletal fiery dragon.
