I caught a couple funny screenshots this weekend. I just had to publish here. Also, for those that saw my banner on this site, I included the two new versions. The flat color in the middle bothered me, I felt it needed some texture. And since I was in Netherstorm cleaning up quests, I used the sky there as an enhancement. Pics are all lightboxed, so click to see full size. Also, my headers now randomize, so you never know whats going to be up there.

So, Last night Jess had her first venture into Gruul’s Lair. Being used to 10 man raids it took a bit of time to get used to seeing THAT MANY PEOPLE! Yes, I’ve never raided Pre-BC I was only lvl 20 when TBC came out. First up was High King Maulgar. He’s like Moroes, with skin, and reborn as an Ogre. And Oh ugly. Seriously, I’d say he had a face only a mother could love but…I’m not real sure even she did. Clearly he’s very angry, and has issues. But I didn’t take to much time to analyze him, I just melted the faces I was told to melt in the order I was told to melt them. And I did a little taunting after he died. Being my first 25 man boss kill I was so excited I forgot to dance on his corpse. Much like I danced on Moroes’ dinner the first time I saw him die. He dropped lots of t4 shoulders, but I’m in full FSW set, so obviously I don’t need those. Grats to all that got their upgrades. That brings me to Gruul.

It was time to talk to old Druulin Gruul about the behaviour of his kids. Seriously, stomping around various zones bullying squishy little humanoids without just cause. What is wrong with parents these days? Well he was in NO mood to talk, he had a fit and started throwing rocks at us, and causing earthquakes. He even turned us to stone a few times. I swear the first time I died, I was running for the door and slipped in a puddle. Bad enough he’s slacking in the parenting department, but come on guy, wipe the drool occasionally would ya? we got him down to 21% I believe before we had to pack it in. Hopefully the next time I see him, he’s in a better mood. At the very least, less drooling would be nice.

Must my death be SO obvious? Spirit of Redemption, allows you to heal your part for a short time after death, even toss out a LOLwell. But it’s really useless in solo play. So…how bout letting me die in peace when I’m not in a group? Without the /point and /giggle effect? Ok so FOUR mobs might have been a bit much, but dammit I got two of them!

Also, ONE death is sufficient, seriously.

It’s been a fairly busy weekend for my toons. But a good one.

Jessmyn is now retired from Kara. She got her t4 helm on Saturday! With the badges, she got her ring from QD, enchanted it, and did a little dance of joy. We have alot of dps that need upgrades from kara yet, so Jess will be staying out, since there really aren’t any for her. However, she’s rather excited about posibly melting some troll face in the near future.

Synthessia has hit 375 leatherworking and learned the patterns for the windhawk set. Both Jess and Cairessa (hunter) are busy making gold and buying mats for her to make them. 33 primal air , 5 primal mights and 2 primal nethers to go yet. After that’s done they’ll be working up the gold for epic flight. Then we’ll focus on leveling to 70 and enchanting mats. Woot! It’s slow, but exciting!

We learned a couple things this weekend as well.

1. We do NOT…cast shadow word death on Netherspite while standing in the blue beam! We may even want to change it’s keybinding. See, shadow word pain is number pad 2, death is number pad 5. We thought we were hitting number 2…til we dropped dead.

2. Do NOT put your level 65 self into a situation that makes you think you are a really bad druid healer! Example, doing Sethhek Halls with a 70 tank, 70 rogue, 66 shammy, 66 rogue, and you as the 65 healer. That last boss is level 69! You are NOT prepared. Go level.

I once read in a list, that sometimes the game hates you…by name. Indeed it seems to hate Jess. Still no Handwraps of Flowing Thought. They dropped, but we lost the roll. Curaor wasn’t helpful either but grats to all the winners. It was a good run, we one shotted everyone from Attumen to Curator.

I think It’s time I just got back to doing dailies, and leveling my druid so she can take over my kara runs. She’s got a nice start on her healing gear. 3 epics sitting in a bank waiting for her. The gloves need some enchanting, and the pants need thread. The helm enchant will have to wait until She can do that herself. All that’s left for her to grab are shoulders and boots. Also, she needs a metric ton of heavy clefthoof leather to get her leatherworking to 375 so she can make her 3 piece set. It would probably help if I was logged into the two toons that can provide her with her gold and mats.

I’ve played hooky from dailies for two days now. Theres just so many. Granted I can get two rounds done in about 4 hours, somedays I just don’t want to. Today seems to be another one of those somedays. Coffee…that might help!
