With WOTLK not far off, and patch day looming, I took the weekend to tie up loose ends on my druid. Being left behind while my other toons leveled, she had quite a few. But, I wanted to have some fun at it to. Saturday turned out to be one of the most productive days I’ve ever had in game.
What I Needed -
- Grovewalkers Leggings 100 badges. I needed 5.
- Revered Rep with Shat’tar
- Gems and thread for said pants
- Kara key, the last step of the chain.
What I Wanted
- To get my pet collection to 50 for the achievement.
- Finally do the stupid 225 fishing quest
- Get a Coyote Spirit
- Get the Haliscan clothes
Saturday, we got a group up, and did heroic Bot. I got my 5 badges, and revered with Shattar. But we had such a good group, we couldn’t stop there. So I hurried up and got my pants, gemmed them, got my thread made, and grabbed the heroic daily. This day it was Black Morass. the final step to my Kara key, and the daily to boot. We totally rocked the joint. Even with my modem going in and out. After that, we decided hey, let’s do the dungeon daily, why not. We did it on heroic as well. And I finished my key to the Arcatraz quest as a cool side effect.
Sunday I was still short 4 pets for the 50 non combat pet achievement. Now, this isn’t something I had planned on working on. Until I realized I was already over halfway there. So after a few trips to vendors, a couple trips to the AH and a stealthy LBRS run, I came up 4 short. Today I spent on two little hordlings. A baby blood elf to grab the 3 dragonhawk pets, and a baby troll to run to Ogrimmar for a black snake. The problem…getting the gold. A guildie brought 25g to my little troll, and I traded him 25g on Alliance side. The next challenge was getting the troll to Booty Bay. At least I thought it was a challenge. Turns out if you take the Zep to Grom’gol, you can swim to BB without a single mob. So, the 50 number was hit!
After getting that accomplished, I went to see Nat Pagle. As I was standing in Theramore, a guildie whispers me about the daily heroic. Durn. Well we couldn’t find 3 dps at the time, but Me, him, and my hubby decided to try Don Carlos. It was rough but we got him, and his little dog too. And I got my hat, with my pet coyote. Well, that led to needing the matching clothes. After dailies, I grabbed those too.
I accomplished everything I wanted to, even the fishing quest. I still need to grind my SSO rep to exalted, so I can make the healy trinket. But that has to wait til after the patch. It’s a bit hard to do dailies with 36 non combat pets in your bag and no room in your bank (24 in there too…lol)!!
