Today, we visit my home within my home. My center of the internet world. My little haven, in the corner of my living room. Let’s start with the full view shall we?

I have a lot of stuff on my desk, it’s true. But everything has a purpose. Whether for use, or just because they make me happy. Let’s look closer, starting with the top shelf.

I love teddy bears, there are just a few here. Two are from England. The small grey Tatty Teddy on the left came from a chat friend there, and the fuzzy Brown one in the middle is “Sam” a custom made, one of a kind bear I ordered from a girl I knew that makes them by hand. He’s wearing a hand knitted sweater in the pattern of the U.S. Flag as well. In front of him is another Tatty from my friend Lizz. Also take note, of the Dancing, numchuck swinging hamster on the left. He was a giftr from a friend in Oregon, to defend me from evil squirrels. In the Jar, varying dice of different numbers of sides and colors.

Below that shelf are my must have books. My journal, a Nook, The Army Wife Handbook (yes, really, it exists), Chicken Soup for the Military Wife’s Soul, I Love a Man in Uniform (Autographed copy!) and a hand Nat Geo Photography guide. All held in place by my Basek O’ Stuff and Harley Davidson coffee mug.  My Abandoned iPod Touch can be seen lying pathetically on the left, behind my “Buffalo Gals” martini glass from our Battalion Ball (Battalion is the Buffaloes).  Yes, there’s a little yellow army duck in it. You’ll also find my favorite picture of the Hubby, kissing the nose of a Donkey. Oh, and another bear, this time, a Koala, sent by a friend in Australia!

Here’s the main part! Art supplies to the left, two sets of deviantArt Emoticon Stress Balls, my stapler! and my magic eight ball adorn this section. If you look closely, you’ll find a scarf my daughter made as well, as well as a leather shoulder holster my hubby brought back from Iraq.  One of my favorite toys is taking center stage, my drawing tablet.  Along with my Droid in it’s little man phone holder, a gift from my oldest a few years ago.  The mousepad is another favorite, a gift from my Mother in Law, I prefer to keep it on display, and not use it for my mouse. And hanging on the right are the one pair of earphones my ears can handle. They happen to be Hello Kitty and adorned with rhinestones. Shut up. They’re cute and functional.

And the power behind it all…Isabella…

I’m trying it this year. No not writing a novel. NaBloPoMo! National Blog Posting Month. This, is my first post. I’ve been in a blogging slump anyhow, maybe this will help me get out of it. For today, just a quickie, to say it’s fall around these parts.

Also, Windows Live Writer has had a huge makeover. Geez this is going to take some getting used to.
