teranna-good-weekend

Teranna had a great weekend! She got to run Blood Furnace, which got her the rep for Footman’s Longsword (and the 3 felstalker leatherworking patterns). We got two of them, and had +15 agility enchanted. Yeah it’s a pricey enchant on swords I won’t use all that long, but I want to make the best of my gear now…it’s a personal obsession thing with me. Also, while there the blue gun dropped. I forget the name.

Yesterday we hit Slave Pens. Tera’s luck was running high in there. Second boss gives me Coilfang Needler! Then the last boss hands over Scorpid-Sting Mantle!! We gemmed that with some green +agi/+stam gems. Jess would like to know where the good drops were with her runs in these places. But she’s a bit cranky because she’s not seeing action these days.

I tamed a ravager last night, thinking he’d be good for instances. My pet has been given a target when we run instances, and he does a good job holding the aggro, and not taking alot of damage. I have trained ZERO armor on him. So, I think…ravagers have an armor bonus..I’ll check one out. My cat is lvl 62 with almost 7k armor, the ravager only had around 5k at lvl 63. Not enough to make me want to keep him. They’re cool pets if you can stand looking at them. But I love my cat, and he’s got everything I need apparently.

one-goal-met

Ding of DeathI had a goal to get my druid, Kemenfea to lvl 50 so she could learn master alchemy. Today she did that, as well as made it to 351 alchemy skill. I also am proud to say she completely finished STV, and all of her Tanaris quests were green before she ever picked them up. I had to find just one more quest to ding, and I found the one for the Dunemaul Ogres. The one pictured to the left seemed to be dazzled by the bright lights of my ding, as he fell over dead.

Now, I may have mentioned Kemmy, is my first toon. Rolled on Bronzebeard last November as Jessmyn. However when I rolled my priest on Khaz’goroth I found myself unable to not play with my guildies there. Unfortunately incoming transfers were closed. Otherwise Kemmy would be 70. I finally got her transferred in October, but had to rename her due to my priest sharing the name. It’s all good.

Of course, now it seems I’m leveling backwards. My priest hit 70 this summer after being created in March. My hunter, created in May, has hit 62. My druid…just now 50. But there is a plan. She will get all the good stuff. She WILL have epic flight skill. For my other two it’s just a faster bird…for a druid it’s a form. A must have. She will also have the mats for the Windhawk set, before she gets back to leveling, and the leatherworking skill to make it. My hunter will supply them through skinning. My priest supplies herbs for Alchemy. Kem should make a fair amount of money just through potions, elixers, and primal might transmutes. Enough to have a good chunk to build on when she does start towards outlands.

Happy Tree Friends All of that aside, I’m very proud of this druid. I have been told so many times that it would be hard leveling as balance. So from 10-30 I tried feral. I never liked it. Not a bit. So I made the switch. I have had no trouble leveling, solo at that. Which to me just proves, it isn’t about what spec you are, it’s all about your style. And let’s face it…Moonkin druids are made of style. I’m getting 1k+ fcrits on my starfire, got my first at 48 and getting more now. I have natures grace proc multiple times in a fight, I can take a beating and keep on casting wrath. This is by far my favorite toon, even if she’s not my main, she’s a ton of fun. Plus, I get my own forest!

i-am-a-killing-machine

After reading alot of BRK, listening to the advice of other hunters in my guild, and experimenting I have found my hunter is pure joy to play. A few things she’s figured out this week…both good and bad.

1. WTB more training points for my pet!!! I’ve retrained Whispurr several times, it seems what works best is max stam and attacks, and as much armor as I can with what points are left. And Cobra Reflexes.

2. Vince McMahon has the absolute WIERDEST walk I have EVER seen! Not WoW related, just happens to be Monday Night, and Raw is on.

3. Macros are NOT cheating and they ARE more DPS (a direct quote stolen from a guildie). I hit 62 today and got Steady Shot, put it in a shot rotation macro, and suddenly I am burning through mobs like a hot dwarven axe through Alterac Swiss. What am I NOT burning through? My mana! Thank you BRK, and thank you to my guildie Learec for that little piece of info.

4. Triple H is made of awesome. Again, not WoW related but come on ladies, he is HAWT.

5. It never fails, some other hunter will look at your faithful pet. The beast that has loyally served you for 42 levels, and tell you you are a “nub” for keeping one pet and not taming a new outlands pet, because they have “better attacks”. They pretty much shut up when you tell them your cat has the same rank of claw as available from the birds in HP.

6. L2READ TOOLTIPS! A silly Teranna asks in guild chat…”is it just me or does intimidate seem to keep aggro on my pet really well?” it was THEN I read the tooltip just as another hunter pointed out that yes it stuns and causes HIGH THREAT. *facepalm*

So that was my weekend on my hunter, Jess isn’t seeing much playtime, she’s only brought out to heal when needed these days. I do love my priest, but let’s face it…she is best enjoyed in groups with a guy in plate taking the beating.

a-slow-week

I’m having one of those weeks with my priest, I log in, do the bg daily and the cooking daily, then stand there not knowing what to do next. I hate when this happens. I could be doing 7 dailies a day. I just have a case of the “don’t wanna”.

So I’ve gotten a few improvements made to my druid. Upgraded her to 18 slot bags, crafted her pretty blue Wildfeather Leggings and equipped her Feathered Breastplate. Grabbed a couple ring upgrades, and a staff from the AH as well. And remembered I had Elven Spirit Claws in the bank. I had Jess make a Dreamweave Circlet to finish it off. The damage output is much better, and I’m seeing up to quadruple crits which means 4 consecutive procs of Nature’s Grace.

For my hunter Teranna, it was time to adjust her talent points. I decided to use a slightly varied version of the spec BRK seems to love. I added the pulling macro, and pet attack/hunter’s mark macro as well. I must say things are dying much faster. I’m currently working out my shot rotation. I don’t have aimed or steady yet, so it’s not alot to choose from. I’m getting better on my chain trapping…but I think the hellboars are getting tired of being guinea pigs.

Jess did do Kara last night, and Attumen is dealt with for the week. There might be another run tonight if we can get the group together.

I’m awake. No, that’s not true…I’m semi-coherent waiting for my coffee to finish , which hubby so kindly got ready for me this morning so all I had to do was hit the button. Going on only a few hours sleep even that was a challenge. I didn’t sleep, because at 1am, I opted to get out of bed to make him cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Which led to emptying and reloading the dishwasher. Can we say…Manic? Yes. Yes we can.

I need to get with it so at 11:30am, I have his dinner ready. Yep you read that right. Dinner. He has CQ today, which here, means he works his normal duty day, and at the end sits at CQ until morning. He doesn’t think he’ll get home between shifts. However he will be home for lunch. So I’m cooking his dinner early, and sending it with him. What am I making you ask? Ok, you didn’t but if I’m going to cook I’m going to share. A daily task I haven’t been doing much of. Cooking that is. So at the end of this you’ll get a recipe. One I haven’t tried yet. A reward for suffering through my rambling. I’ll let you know if anyone dies how it turns out.

As I said I haven’t been cooking much. Between this stupid financial crunch and holidays I’ve been buying as few groceries as I could. But I got fed up with it. If a certain military branch financial division would fork over our family separation pay from the 6 weeks he was gone it would help!! Anyhow, I finally went and planned two weeks of dinners. Did the shopping, and plan to cook dinner with real main dishes and sides.

The dogs are both giving me the I need to pee face. Unfortunately for me I seem to have woken up in the middle of monsoon season. There is a pretty river running across my back yard. I knew I should have kept those hip waders. The dogs don’t like it any more than me. They hurry up and go and run back. Which for shadow, means 10 minutes later he’s howling his fool head off to go again. If it didn’t take him 20 minutes to find the perfect spot…he wouldn’t have this problem. Seriously, the dog has ADD. It takes alot of work getting him to go…sniff sniff…oh a plane…collar yank…sniff sniff…whats that? a bird?…collar yank….oh kites!!!….dammit Shadow focus…sniff sniff. Dogs, gotta love em.

With that, I’ll add this recipe and be off. I have cooking to mangle, Warcraft to loseWeight Exercise at, and Dogs to be bossed around by. I wonder if hubby left me any cinnamon rolls.

Beer Kielbasa
2 lbs Kielbasa
1/2 cup water
1 cup beer
1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
2-3 TBS cornstarch (ad as little water as possible to make a paste)
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup dijon mustard

Place WHOLE kielbasa in a large skillet with water.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes
Remove from heat and cut kielbasa in diagonal slices
Return kielbasa to skillet and add beer.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add in brown sugar and cornstarch paste.
Stir in vinegar and mustard, continue stirring until it bubbles.
Tastes really good when served on a bed of sweetened sauerkraut but is
also
good with a potato side if your family doesn’t like sauerkraut

Oh, my cinnamon rolls too…
Open Pillsbury Cinnabon Cinnamon rolls, follow directions, get icing on fingers, forget to rinse them off. Add stickiness to computer mouse while you wait for them to bake.
