Ouch That Wall Hurt

I seem to have hit the wall. It’d just been one of those weeks. I’m convinced it’s still Monday, and will be until the weekend. So…let the QQ commence!!

We did very well in Kara over the weekend. Attumen, Moroes, Crone, Maiden. This success got me close to the badges I needed…a heroic mech run finished it off! So, Jess in her offhand carries Voodoo Shaker!! We are happy!! Except that in our main hand we still carry The Essence Focuser. With a +30 intellect enchant. This is where the QQ starts.

ALMOST!!! That is the word for the week. Teranna is level 69 now, she is ALMOST 70. But I can’t seem to get into the fantastical goodness that is my little huntress. She sits in Shatt, ALMOST 70, and ALMOST having enough for her flying mount.

Kemmy…the oh so neglected, still waiting to level , first toon I ever rolled. My druid. She’s ALMOST 375 Alchemy! She even discovered Flask of Fortification while brewing Jess’s elixirs in Exodar. She also accidently found a level 50 druid quest in Moonglade on her way to a guild dueling matchup in Darkshore…in which she was wtfpwned by warlocks, until she remembered she had trees. She tries the quest, which is in Un’Goro surprisingly. Everyone elses seem to go to Azshara, involve courser antlers or some body part of the same, then Sunken Temple. EPIC drop rate on these stingers. When I wasn’t being turned into Moonkin drumsticks by adds, the stupid wasps wouldn’t drop my stingers. If the reward wasn’t Moonshadow Stave I’d say forget it outlands is better. But that would be a nice start.

Back to Jess. She so badly wants Gavel of Pure LIght!! She ran part of mech, then had an attempt at Bot. Things were going well, until the router went all zoinky and cut me off. Throwing it at the wall seemed to help. What? I tried all the other stuff first!! Finished Bot at 1:30am my time, and only had an hour and a half til shut down time. So we have another crack at it today. She is ALMOST exalted with Shat’tar!! 1200 rep away. One bot run should do it!! So what do you get for that mace? A +81 healing enchant of course. I set the coffee pot to brew my coffee and got up early. Thinking I’d farm the primals for that spiffy enchant. Then I remembered, it’s Maintenance day.

It was a good idea….ALMOST!!

Teranna is getting better. We had a heroic finish on the first boss in Sethh Halls last night. Of course we wiped with the killing blow but dead boss = good! We are up to level 68. We have a hit rating of 95, a crit chance of 15.82% and around 1200 attack power. We got a great drop Breastplate of Rapid Striking, and even though we lost the roll, our very kind guildie traded it to us. We have given up one Footman’s Longsword in favor of Ceremonial Warmaul Bloodblade. We also got Terokk’s Quill, but get better stats from our dual wielding combo.

We have also download a video from BRK that we REALLY wish we had 60 levels ago, but will still be using to learn to kite. A tactic in which we are seriously lacking. Trapping we are certainly improving on.

Also, for the first time…We topped the damage meter!!! And none of the above would have been possible without the hunter goodness that IS the BRK Blog and Forum, and alot of patience from my guildies.

First off, Happy New Year!

I am glad to see another year starting myself. 2007 has been more aggravating, more stressful, more challenging than any I can remember. We started with moving from Alaska to WA, we are ending with us (ie: ME) still settling in and finding my feet. It wasn’t all bad, there were good things. A friend taking in people he’d only known from the internet, and giving us a place to stay for a while. Getting our own house on base. Bringing a new dog into the family.

It has also brought with it many financial difficulties, which we are closer each day to overcoming at tax time.

I have watched my oldest daughter turn into a full fledged teenager. I’ve seen her starting to have less angst, be less of a drama queen and even be less moody. I’ve seen her sister enter the stage she just started ending.

I’ve seen friends here I thought I wouldn’t see again, however brief it may have been. I’ve seen anthills the size of a 4 year old.

But I’m ready to see 2008 begin, and pray for a smoother year and a light at the end of the tunnel. In the mean time I’ll watch this CSI marathon, and wait.

Not a Shakespeare Fan

Jess hasn’t been working much in the last couple weeks. Mainly just sitting in Shatt watching the days go by. But it’s the weekend and weekends mean Kara. So she got to go heal. We have decided we do not care for Shakespeare. I would be very happy to kill Moroes again just for sending us those particular opera tickets. This was our first time seeing Romulo and Julianne. Our first Opera was The Crone…who after R&J looks like Glinda the good witch. First off they make obnoxious noises. Second, the dead should just stay dead!!! But in the end we won…I think 3 tries did it.

Curator…he seems to be our sticking point now. This is of course only the second time we have encountered him. And we are just pleased we can get to him, as a casual guild with no big raiding plans. I was quite irked with him after a wipe, when I went back in the room and a rogue zappy thing attacked me and killed me again…ok it was kinda funny in a “this always happens to Jess” way.

Today it’s back to leveling Tera’s warp stalker Norbert, so he’s 65 when she hits 66. Then it will be Whispurr’s turn again. Come on 70 so my pets can be my level!!

And, since this is December 23rd, and I may not get around to posting again…MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Teranna: Good Weekend

Teranna had a great weekend! She got to run Blood Furnace, which got her the rep for Footman’s Longsword (and the 3 felstalker leatherworking patterns). We got two of them, and had +15 agility enchanted. Yeah it’s a pricey enchant on swords I won’t use all that long, but I want to make the best of my gear now…it’s a personal ~~obsession~~ thing with me. Also, while there the blue gun dropped. I forget the name.

Yesterday we hit Slave Pens. Tera’s luck was running high in there. Second boss gives me Coilfang Needler! Then the last boss hands over Scorpid-Sting Mantle!! We gemmed that with some green +agi/+stam gems. Jess would like to know where the good drops were with her runs in these places. But she’s a bit cranky because she’s not seeing action these days.

I tamed a ravager last night, thinking he’d be good for instances. My pet has been given a target when we run instances, and he does a good job holding the aggro, and not taking alot of damage. I have trained ZERO armor on him. So, I think…ravagers have an armor bonus..I’ll check one out. My cat is lvl 62 with almost 7k armor, the ravager only had around 5k at lvl 63. Not enough to make me want to keep him. They’re cool pets if you can stand looking at them. But I love my cat, and he’s got everything I need apparently.
