a-trifecta

As many have heard me whine I absolutely HATE Warsong Gulch. I hate it so much there aren’t even words. However I had to do it this weekend. You see we have a game on the guild forums, in which we assign an achievement to the poster above us. This then enters YOU into the game, and my assignment was to complete the 10 tabard achievement. I had 8 out of 10. You’d think that to be easy right? Well not when you have no exalted rep with any of the tabard bearing Outlands factions. First thing I did was go to Shadowmoon Valley and complete the quest for Green Tabard of The Illlidari. Thanks to guildmate Algie helping with the battle I completed it. Yes even at 80 a girl needs some help. I died on the last booss, my cooldowns weren’t back up yet. Adal dear…Purple would have been nice, but tabard number 9 was aquired.

The 10th tabard was a bit trickier. I had 2 options. Farm the hell out of SM Armory in hopes of the Tabard Of The Scarlet Crusade, OR get three WSG marks for Private’s Tabard. I tried SM my alotted 5 resets in an hour to no avail. So…I queued for WSG. Went in, lost, got 1 mark. Two to go. So back into the Queue. DING DING DING We had a winner!! And not just a winner, a TRIFECTA!!

trifecta

And I had my 10th tabard. Which by the way perfectly matches my healing robes so…woot!

I gotta say first off, I totally agree with Sylly’s thoughts on jousting! I hate it. I hate it with the burning passion of a thousand suns in an oven, set on fire, in a desert. There is a reason I heal in PVP. That reason being…I do not have the twitchy fast hand/eye coordination for it. I just don’t. That being said…

ofdarnassusWhy? Because there are PETS involved here! And anyone that reads me, or plays with me, knows that if there is a non combat pet to be had, by Elune I’m going to have it. The only ones from BC I am missing are the ones that are rare drops from instances, and 2 that require exalted rep. We’ll go back for those eventually. I really want Mojo and a Phoenix>.<

The good news is, your squire COUNTS towards the Lil Game Hunter achievement! Now some say he’s creepy. I don’t reallly think so. I’ve named mine Sebastian. i don’t know why, it just came to me. He looks like a Sebastian.

Gosh my Darnassus banner is pretty. Best looking one in the Alliance I say. What REALLY annoys me, is I now want the damned mount. Not the flying one, I’m not TOTALLY nuts. But the Saber. I didn’t want it before. But I hadn’t really paid attention to it’s looks while I was suffering through the jousts. I was too busy wanting to put my keyboard through the screen. But it has PURPLE accents. PURPLE!!

Now I must have it. Oh and while I’m torturing myself. Might as well start the Valiant quests for Gnomer. And Hey! Just to make it even more fun, since I’m revered with all the Alliance cities. Let’s go for EXALTED champion everywhere. And just for shits and giggles, Argent Crusade exalted too! Hell if I’m going to torture myself, I’m damned well gonna do it right.  Besides, it’ll give me something to focus on and distract myself from my upcoming year of the sexless nun.

So amongst stable instability, I was hanging out with a fellow blogger’s guild, having a ball in gchat. Suddenly, Instructor here, decides to do his Victoria’s Secret supermodel imitation parading back and forth inside Acherus. And WHAT is he wearing? Did he kill and skin an entire VILLAGE of Smurfs??

And I fell into a pit! But it was so pretty, I want to go back.

Into The Pit

I’ve totally be slackingon project 365. Tothe point I’ll never catch up now. So I’m going to put it off for now. It will make a much better project for me starting this summer though.

Today was even the first I’ve played in around two weeks. But I had fun, so I might be back in the habit. I’m 2 titansteel bars away from a Titansteel Guardian for my boomkin gear. I’m also PLAYING boomkin for the moment. I chose a raid spec, and am trying to learn it. In the process I had a couple epics crafted for DPS as well. Hopefully the upcoming changes to spirit doesn’t hurt as much as it looks like. But if it does, I’ll have Boomkin skills to fall back on.

Saturday

I had a little trouble getting myself going today. I’m not sure why, maybe because I’d done so much all week. With Winter Veil and daily jobs to be done. I was ready for a day off. But, I decided to visit some known areas of battle and lend my leaves to the effort. I started with Alterac Valley, can you believe they can’t even have a holiday weekend without having to defend themselves from Horde invasions?  After successfully defeating the Orc  leader, I rested in Dalaran.

It wasn’t long before I was asked to visit Ogrimmar  with fourty other Alliance members. This did not go well. Not well at all. And besides, I LIKE Thrall. After seeing the chaos that unfolded in Undercity after the fall of the Wrathgate, I’ve developed respect for the man. I was much less impressed with our supposed leader. But that’s another story.

I returned once again to Dalaran, surely I’d rest this time. It was not to be. No sooner did I order a honeymint tea from the innkeeper, than a call went out to fight for Wintergrasp. I’d ignored this call for several weeks now. Today, I felt it was time I lend myself to the cause. It does afterall benefit the Alliance all across Northrend, and I know the battles they face out there. Every little bit helps. I crossed through the portal, and joined up with some other folks that were ready for the fight. It was amazing, and I found myself enjoying it immensely. With some great teamwork, we successfully took control. After which, we moved on to fight a bigger enemy. Archavon the Stone Watcher.

He presented quite the challenge, but when a warrior from my own guild appeared, I knew it would be ok. I knew the right spells to use, and when to use them. Having healed her in combat several times recently. It took four attempts, but we were again successful. I was rewarded with some nice emblems, and a new pair of leggings to wear in my future defense of Alliance territories.

Today’s achievements were quite satisfying. More to add to my resume.

Sunday

WingElf Sunday was pretty tame. Well, tame is relative I suppose. I joined up with Arteus…you remember Arteus right? Ok, for those that don’t he’s my hot piece of muscly night elf flesh AHEM…I mean my husband. We spent some much needed time together adventuring through The Storm Peaks. It was very rewarding, and sometime a bit dangerous. For example, Brann Bronzebeard having me stand on the wing of his flying machine and fight off intruders! It was worth it in the end to see all THREE Bronzebeard brothers reunite.  It was a beautful day, and quite productive…But I still haven’t had that herbal soak. I’m off to do that right now. I’ve earned it!
