I am big enough to admit that. Really. Even if it was twice in the span of a month, I can admit it. However painful it may be, I can do this. Let’s start with “smart phones”.

There are some that might recall me saying in chat, or twitter that I didn’t see the point in a smart phone. Texting and phone calls were enough for me. While everyone was squeeing over their iPhones and Droids I was safe and secure in the knowledge that I was perfectly content with my little LG Env3.

  Then I got an iPod touch over the summer. I loved what I could do with it. I could tweet, facebook, listen to music, browse the web, play games. But I hated the touch screen and I was limited to Wifi. But the temptation started. I knew Verizon had no iPhone, but they have Droid! Then my upgrade came due. And the Motorola Droid was free. I couldn’t resist. Sure it’s not the oh so newest phone on the market for Android. But hello! FREE! Maybe I’ll get it, and see if I like it. I hated my last touch screen after all. So let’s try it. If I like it, I can get a newer one next time. I was in love within a week.  I can use it as my car radio, tweet, facebook, play games, browse the web, check my email, all of this any time and anywhere. I. Was. Wrong. My iPod touch, sadly is a paperweight now.

Now, we move on to WoW. Specifically Druids in WoW. More specifically my righteous indignation and /Jessrage over losing tree form after already having my favorite healing style beaten to death.  I loved the challenge of keeping a three stack of lifebloom rolling on the tank while tossing HoTs on the party without letting lifebloom drop. I never lifebloomed all over the place, it as strictly a tank spell for me. Then they took that away from me, because my mana couldn’t handle it after they doubled the cost. I SWORE when they announced the tree form change I was done. My druid, with all her pets would sit, unspecced, and retired in Dalaran for the rest of her days. I would play  my rogue, and my priest and never a druid again.

But there was this little voice in my head saying “try it. TRY it, you must be SURE you hate it in fact, not just theory.” Damn that little voice. So I logged in, I got a resto spec from Lissanna over at Restokin. And as I was reading the talents I noticed it. Lifebloom is back. Lifebloom is supported in several talents! Sure there are complaints that it’s single target outside of tree form, but that’s OK! That’s how I use it! So I spec, and I glyph, and I set my Clique bindings. And my fingers remember the rhythm. They know just where to go. And the mana bar isn’t disappearing, and my heals have decent numbers, and they even did what I’ve been WANTING FOREVER, making Rejuv tick IMMEDIATELY for a nice amount! But my treeform is a 30 second buff on a 3 minute cooldown. That still makes me sad. But when I CAN use it, it makes Regrowth instant, makes Wild Growth hit 2 extra people, and makes lifebloom unlimited. Oh and it makes wrath cast 50% faster!!…wait what? *shakes head* Yeah I still think that’s just stupid. But I think I like my druid again. I think she’s back in action.

Then I added my balance 2nd spec. OH MY GOD is it fun now. I SMITE THEE WITH THE POWER OF THE SUN MOON AND STARS!!! nuff said.

I was wrong. Yeah. It happens. Apparently alot this month.
