Blogging
This is the second time I have opted to do all my blogging here at lady-jess.com. The first time, I think I posted a few things and then went back to having two blogs. I don't really know why. Except I figured noone cared about life, they wanted to read about WoW that's why they came here. A very cute little Almost Evil gnome however told me to stick with it this time. So I am.
It's my little slap at the gamer stereotype I guess. You know the one, we have no lives, we live on nothing but Mt Dew and dry cereal staring like zombies at our computers, shutting ourselves in our homes with no contact with the outside. You know, like Columbus in *Zombieland.
Well I'm here to blatantly say screw you up yours to that stereotype. I sit here and complain about it every time I'm confronted with it. But that does no good, when I'm the only one hearing it. So I'm putting myself out there. I may lose some readers, since this blog WAS in fact once built solely around World of Warcraft. And that's something I'll have to live with if it happens.
I'm still blogging about gaming, and I'll blog about WoW again when I have a computer that can play it without shutting off in a snit. But this is my Christmas gift to me. My blogging freedom. My life, in a gaming blog. Which I guess isn't really a gaming blog anymore. It's just MY blog. As it should be. Not putting my gaming hobby on one blog, and blogging about "Real Life" on another. But embracing gaming as part of my life, and putting it all together.
I'm also eliminating the term "Real Life" unless talking about Fantasy vs Real Life. Because there is no "real life". There's just LIFE, and we all have one. There are no "real life friends" there are just friends no matter how you meet.
So take that stereotype and smack it around the next time you see it. Or smack the person using it. Because I'm here to say Life and Gaming DO mix, like chocolate and peanut butter. Deliciously.
*If you haven't seen this movie, make a point to watch it. Even if you don't LIKE horror/zombie movies you will like this. I swear! I did!

Blogging
I've decided I'm tired of having two blogs, two twitters, etc. Part of my life IS gaming. And it's time I blogged about my whole life in one place. Sadly I lost a few pots in the process of importing them here but that's ok. I have them stored and can look back whenever I want.
So, no…I'm not abandoning Lady-Jess.com, I'm making it my ONLY blog. For the reasons I mentioned above and a few more. First of all, my name isn't Jess…lol! But 400+ readers know me as the name "Jess" (of my favorite World of Warcraft character), which I named this domain after when this started as a WoW blog. That just gives me another layer of anonymity. That's a good thing.
What can you expect? Well, more posts for those that are already subscribed. Sometimes you'll see two a day even. One related to video games, and another dealing with life in general. Same me though. Just more of me!
And for those coming here from the old blog. Welcome to my world. All of it!

Blogging
I did this at facebook because several people tagged me. But I thought, why not blog it? Now it may seem easy to find 25 things people don’t know about you, but it really isn’t. In fact most that read my blog already know most anything I’d say. Clearly, I need to be more mysterious. So we’re going to pretend noone knows some of these.
1. I’m a lefty. Now, surprisingly, this also makes me somewhat ambidextrous. When I was perfecting my motor skills, the school supplies were made right handed. So were the desks in Senior High. I do all my fine motor skill requiring stuff with my left hand, but throw, drive, punch, etc with my right.
2. I have seasonal allergies. But unlike most people, my sinuses are not effected, there’s no sneezing or watery eyes. My ears itch and get congested.
3. Everything I’ve learned about computers, websites, and photography is self taught. I’ve never had a single class for any of it. Matter of fact, they were just starting computer skills in my Junior year of high school. I always figured it didn’t matter that I didn’t take them. By the time I needed them the lessons would have been outdated.
4. I did not own a computer until 2000.
5. I literally have cried over spilled milk. It is absolutely normal for me to freak out over the tiniest of issues. Yet when a big issue is put in my way, I can deal with it confidently and effectively. Example, if my husband goes to the field for a week it drives me crazy. When he was deployed for a year I trooped right through. And even when that tour was extended for 4 months, after the initial shock I handled that too.
6. I hate the phone. Anyone that calls here during one of my moods probably thinks i’m a complete bitch. I’m not, I just hate the phone. Which is something relatively new, because it never bothered me before. It’s only started in the last couple years.
7. I still get goosebumps and butterflies when my husband is due home from work at the end of the day.
8. I can’t stand any chocolate that isn’t Hersheys.
9. I actually understand, and can follow the game of football.
10. I never went to college, and to this day don’t regret it.
11. I never wanted to be anything other than a wife and mom. Drove my guidance counselors crazy.
12. I hate driving. HATE it. I don’t mean I just prefer not to, I mean if I don’t have to I absolutely won’t. I still won’t drive off the army post we live on.
13. I didn’t get my drivers license until I was 30.
14. I have an iPod, and iTunes, and I STILL prefer buying the CD’s that I want. There’s just something satisfying about holding the case and artwork in your hands. Bonus: it costs us less than downloading since there’s four of us:P
15. I’m thin, yet horribly out of shape.
16. I still love the 80’s hair bands. Brett Michaels, Jon Bon Jovi…yummmmm
17. I love techie gadgets.
18. Rainy weather makes me miserable. even if it’s just dark and gray out. However living in Alaska the dark months didn’t bother me at all, because the sun still came out for a couple hours. Washington is harder, because it’s dreary alot more of the time.
19. I have done major repairs on my own vehicle.
20. I slept with a blankie until it fell apart (OK it disintegrated) in my 20’s.
21. I love World War 2 movies and documentaries.
22. I actually have a pattern for the green party dress Scarlett O’hara wore to the Wilkes’ Barbeque.
23. I cannot sew.
24. Even after seven years of army wifery I fail at 24 hour time.
25. this list has taken me 4 days to write!!
