Sap Isn’t Just For Syrup
The President’s on!! He’s on every channel!! We’re gonna miss Flipper!!! (Jeff Foxworthy)
So I spent the time playing some Dragon Age: Origins. This is a great game to get some just me time. I just put on my headphones and get lost in the story. Although, this is a first.
Ever notice, how ridiculous we feel when we get all sappy and teary watching a Hallmark Commercial? Ok maybe it’s MOSTLY just us girls, but I bet there are guys that do it too. They just won’t admit it. The worst for me was that Anheuser Busch commercial with the troops in the airport. I STILL cannot watch that thing without getting all boohooey.
Now, I have to try and say this without spoilers, so be warned, it might actually be one but then again…it shouldn’t be. But no yelling at me!
I’m messing with the interactions between my Character, and Alistair in Dragon Age: Origins. Because you know, if there’s a way to turn an RPG into a RNRPG (Romance Novel RPG), I just have to try.
And…it was so darned sweet, it made me get all sappy and weepy. I mean it was so well done! The facial expressions, tone of voice. OMG I was playing a fantasy romance novel!

Look at that look. /Melts

D’awwww!
*wanders off to get tissues.
And and…he gave her a rose!

I have been TOLD (though not confirmed myself) that if you hold off on inviting Alastair into your tent, HE will invite YOU, and its apparently one of the most sweetly awkwardly endearing scenes in the game.
*dreamy sigh* Love that man. Game. GAME. Love that game.
*cough* Nothing to see here. *hides a tissue*

I didn’t know to wait, either.
Also, deviantart.com has a ridiculous amount of Alastair fanart, if you need more heart melting. =]

Yep. Get all sappy when they have their little romantic chats.
“Awkwardly endearing” perfectly describes Alastair. My husband doesn’t get what I, erm SHE, sees in him.

GRRR Stop tempting me to buy and play this game!!!! I’m a sucker for a good romance. Guys just do NOT get how ‘awkward/innocent/fumbling/embarrassed’ can be so adorable.

Shows where my mind is. I saw this post title on my blog roll, which is 95% WoW related, and thought this was going to be a post about Rogues.
Go figure.
