Poor hubby, and Poor B. He has missed her birthday SO many times, for training, deployments. In the 2005/06 OIF Deployment, he missed it TWICE due to the extension. Hopefully this time he only misses it once. I know this one bothered him. Our one advantage to being an older family when he enlisted seven years ago, is not missing important firsts. He’s been here for first steps, first words, first days of school. But this is the first of their milestones he has ever missed. It’s a bittersweet day here, I can only imagine it is there too.
