Jess, I fully understand where you are coming from here. I remember back in the day, I was OBSESSED with marks. We're talking before hunters had mortal strike, steady shot, those kinds of things. In particular, marks in arenas. Since the beginning, if you asked the "uber" arena players, marks was a joke, and you were stupid for being it. Well, I raised my hunter in AV(old AV, not lol blitz av), so I was pretty accomplished. Let me tell you, the day that I spent a good 45 mins on one match kiting a holy pally in circles, trapping/HoJ back and forth, healing/bandaging back and forth, was the most awesome and hillarious thing I ever saw in all of my time in arenas.

I won that day, even if not long after that, marks lost completely in arenas, but it was fun while it lasted.

In my experience anyone who says "lols" "lame" and "noob" in the same sentence is 12 years old and not capable of forming an intelligent opinion on anything and should just be /ignored without further comment.

I recently made a druid Nelf and bored of Darkshore I took her off to the dranei startup area to get in some quests and open up the map, I was level 14 or so at the time but I knew what I was doing. Swimming in the sea tying to catch some crawlers for a q two lvl 5 draneis atarted bouncing round me trying to get me to duel, I knew they were kids and told them to get off and leave me alone. The one insisted on whispering me and telling me I was a "noob" for being lvl 14/15 and hanging round a startup area. This guy was so accomplished at this game that he couldn't even think that I was there working on Explorer and Loremaster achievments. Who was the noob there then?

I don't normally offer advise, but I was gear checking a fellow Shadow priest in similar gear to me in Dalaran, and noticed her Meta wasn't active because she didn't have enough blue gems, and I thought she might have had some recent gear changes and forgot, so I pst her nicely to let her know that I had been checking out her gear and her meta was 'broken' - she came right back that she knew, and it was all good. I felt like a tard because I only did it because it would have been such a shame at her gear level to have missed something like that, I don't offer advise normally - but the times I have I have been polite, and not picky

I don't really have anything earth-shattering to say, but I want to add my voice to the discussion nonetheless.

A four-month absence from the game earlier this year helped me to learn something. The thing we should strive most for in this game is to do what it takes for us as individuals to have fun. Whether it be end-game Raiding or just going around shooting Critters, just do what it takes to reach that point.

Are you enjoying playing your Hunter, m'Lady? Do you have fun doing what you're doing? Even if you're in the process of gearing up, etc.; if you're doing it in a way that makes you happy, go for it. Beast Mastery with a Spirit Beast makes you smile inside? Then you shouldn't do it any other way.

To Hell with people who want us to do things the way THEY want us to. It'd be like if I gave a damn about the Warrior who hollered at me for rolling on Marrowstrike last night. ;)

... okay, somehow the comment went through when I wasn't ready yet.

Anyways, NOT EVERY FIGHT is Patchwerk. People don't realize those two things and they immediately write off a spec based on that, when honestly it's not a huge deal =P Props to you for sticking it out anyway!

Interestingly enough I haven't had to deal with any spec elitists so far in game. Out of game is a different story, of course. I think the thing that bugs me right now is that a.) fully raid-buffed and geared and using the proper rotation, Elitist Jerks has shown that Beast Mastery is NOT THAT FAR BEHIND Marks or SV right now, and b.) Not EVERY FIGHT

You aren't alone with that kind of 'advice' from random....yeah i wont say what i want to really call them so i will call em blow-me joes. People always assume they know whats best for everybody else just because there are sites and other people that have told them 'this is the way do to it'. These know-it-all blow-me joes really need to get there heads away from kissing their own rears long enough to understand people play the game they way thats most fun for them. So what you aren't so anal you let some stats from some site dictate the "only" way to do something.

BM/SV dual specced myself using my kitty that i have had since i was lvl 10. Probably gonna see how BM does for me in raid again just cause SV drives me up a wall at times. More power too you Lady J.!

Werd.

Unexpectedly I'm seeing decent numbers from my BM hunter, and he's not really geared that well. So he's not top of the charts? If he's in the pack then it's all good.

Mr Noob should go back to e-bay for a refund.
