I figured on another dull boring week in the household. And I got it. With one less child. My oldest has decided to attend a summer class at her new high school. It lasts two weeks, earns her half semester elective credit, and she’s staying with a friend for it. Wow. Wasn’t expecting that one.
Still waiting for hubby to get home. I really feel out of it when he’s gone, be it a week or a year it totally throws me off. This time, I had to go ringless, which made it worse. I somehow managed to get a chemical burn under my wedding rings. A bit of neosporin applied regularly and it’s gone. Thank goodness. I wouldn’t have noticed it if I hadn’t bumped my rings on my desk and felt the burning from the blister breaking. Owee.
My child is going to school in the summer…What the…????

Good kid. You ought to be proud. A lot of kids wouldn’t dream of going to summer school.
Sometimes there just isn’t anything else to do. Summer school may be a last option for us, but it’s still an option. Your daughter’s a smart one.
Mine is too, but only because his math credit was screwed up. However, there are a ton of incredible summer programs and I think we’ll be looking into a few for next summer and beyond. Programs of particular interest are with colleges the kid is interested in attending - definitely a bonus when filling out those college apps.
Nothing wrong with going to school in summer.
@Matt, yes I am…I know I would have never made that choice…lol
@Loronar yeah I think we’ve hit the summer rut, of course it helps that her friend is going…thats likely part of it.
@Mama DruidUgh, I don’t even want to think about college yet, I know it’s coming fast though.
@Awl no, no there isn’t, didn’t say there was in fact. I was just surprised that a 14 year old girl would WANT to voluntarily. Especially MY 14 year old.
WOWIE!
I am impressed..lol..neither one of us would have EVER done that on purpose..EVER…lol..
You done good
wonder if there is a boy involved somehow??
@Tiffi haha no we sure wouldn’t have! I’ll have to ask when she comes home Friday if the boy is going. Cuz there IS a boy. She has his jacket and everything…lol HELP!!!
OMG his jacket?
LOL!!!
You are in troubbllllleeeeee….
Bet daddy has a good time cleaning his guns on the front porch
Haha Tiff you got that right!
I worry about the girls mine will pick..lord help me..I hope I taught them well..I have a few years yet, but still worry about skanky ones skulking around
@Tiffi OMG I know! I’m in a way glad mine are girls, but then again, they could end up marrying Soldiers (not that it’s a BAD thing of course)!! I mean a few more years and It could be dangerous taking them to unit functions…poor hubby! HEY! email me your instant messenger info, you were supposed to do that months ago:P (ladyjess.blog@gmail.com)
I’m assuming that this is my adopted Tiffany kid that we took along to your wedding just for the heck of it…and isn’t she responsible for you meeting …..ermmmmmmm…. your soldier?????
MOM!
HI!
Yes, this would be the one
and I guess I kind of did have a role in all that meeting stuff..hehe…
@Mom he wasn’t a soldier THEN! He waited til we were married 9 years to do THAT:P
Knew that….hence: the “ermmmmmmmmmmm”
