WoWScrnShot_070208_211340Last night was Syn’s first run at Kara as a tree. Nothing like a trial by fire to see what you still need to improve on, but that’s ok. It was a night of unusual behaviours. And not just from us. First, Attumen’s friends in the other room decided to join the party. I knew something was amiss when I was suddenly on fire. That has never been an Attumen standard attack. Noone knows how they got pulled, or why but maybe Attumen paid them extra? Moroes went off without a hitch. Oh…no…wait, we got a full table instead of half the table. Wiping on trash reminds us that we’re all human (oids). after that Moroes went off without a hitch, and we moved on to opera. I didn’t get the red riding hood debuff!! That is a first! Curator went down smooth and easy, Shade…not so much. I’m a little sore from the Hunter’s pet falling on me, but we did finally get through it. I wound up with some new healy boots (so much for refusing to wear cloth…they’ll do til chess gives up my forest lord striders).

Memorable Quotes:

“You went down faster than my global cooldown!”- Me on a tank death on the darned mobs on moroes that get our tanks drunk.

“Anything you say can and will be blogged against you” – our mage, after Fim said someone should blog that first quote.

What We Have Learned (we being me):

No matter how experienced your group is, and no matter how much easier blizz has made Kara…you can still wipe on trash, or on the first boss when one thing goes wrong.

Tree healing rocks, and we wonder why we ever hated healing?

And I learned I really do prefer healing to DPS’ing in a fight, so don’t be surprised if Jessmyn finds her way back to the light from the shadow.

  1.

There was one time we wiped on Aran 3 or 4 times with some SSC/TK geared people. Then we called it for the night and tried again the next afternoon and one-shotted him. Sometimes it’s just luck…
