No Rest For The Weary
Saturday
I had a little trouble getting myself going today. I’m not sure why, maybe because I’d done so much all week. With Winter Veil and daily jobs to be done. I was ready for a day off. But, I decided to visit some known areas of battle and lend my leaves to the effort. I started with Alterac Valley, can you believe they can’t even have a holiday weekend without having to defend themselves from Horde invasions? After successfully defeating the Orc leader, I rested in Dalaran.
It wasn’t long before I was asked to visit Ogrimmar with fourty other Alliance members. This did not go well. Not well at all. And besides, I LIKE Thrall. After seeing the chaos that unfolded in Undercity after the fall of the Wrathgate, I’ve developed respect for the man. I was much less impressed with our supposed leader. But that’s another story.
I returned once again to Dalaran, surely I’d rest this time. It was not to be. No sooner did I order a honeymint tea from the innkeeper, than a call went out to fight for Wintergrasp. I’d ignored this call for several weeks now. Today, I felt it was time I lend myself to the cause. It does afterall benefit the Alliance all across Northrend, and I know the battles they face out there. Every little bit helps. I crossed through the portal, and joined up with some other folks that were ready for the fight. It was amazing, and I found myself enjoying it immensely. With some great teamwork, we successfully took control. After which, we moved on to fight a bigger enemy. Archavon the Stone Watcher.
He presented quite the challenge, but when a warrior from my own guild appeared, I knew it would be ok. I knew the right spells to use, and when to use them. Having healed her in combat several times recently. It took four attempts, but we were again successful. I was rewarded with some nice emblems, and a new pair of leggings to wear in my future defense of Alliance territories.
Today’s achievements were quite satisfying. More to add to my resume.
Sunday
Sunday was pretty tame. Well, tame is relative I suppose. I joined up with Arteusyou remember Arteus right? Ok, for those that don’t he’s my hot piece of muscly night elf flesh AHEMI mean my husband. We spent some much needed time together adventuring through The Storm Peaks. It was very rewarding, and sometime a bit dangerous. For example, Brann Bronzebeard having me stand on the wing of his flying machine and fight off intruders! It was worth it in the end to see all THREE Bronzebeard brothers reunite. It was a beautful day, and quite productiveBut I still haven’t had that herbal soak. I’m off to do that right now. I’ve earned it!

About the King, and how you feel about him.
Without knowing the backstory, one might feel that he is essentially as ruthless as those he speaks of. However he’s gone through much more then most people know about as far as the lore goes.
He’s been locked up in prisons, had his wife murdered, and been through more trials then most of the Alliance’s heroes. And his disdain for Thrall and his people is only natural because of this. And I’m sure the King knows that in the bottom of the orc’s hearts is infact a bloodthirst for evil doing, due to their bonds with the Burning Legion’s Mannoroth the Destructor, who gave them power in turn for their allegiance with the Burning Legion.
And of course, we cannot forget his best friend had just been killed because of a betrayal of the Apothecary Putress, who used to serve Lady Sylvanas. To him, it was just a testement to the evil that lies in all of the horde, and that (as he stated) more would follow. And keep in mind, we were battling in Undercity. Undercity is built around the ruins of Lorederon, a once alliance city. So fighting these evils where an Alliance city should be all along… it’s going to start to take it’s toll.
I myself thing we have a very, very good leader.
If I could repeat the whole storyline leading up to the Battle for Undercity, I would in a heartbeat, regardless of payment. That’s just me though =P

True, however he killed Putress and blamed the orcs, it was Sylvanas’ employee, in Sylvanas’ city, if he’d blamed HER I’d understand. So by all means, distrust Sylvanas and the forsaken.
But as it happens, he is blaming Thrall, who out of EVERYONE would be the ONE Horde leader to completely understand the King’s past tribulations, as HE was himself brutalized and held captive by humans, and saw his best friend (and possibly first love) murdered for having saved him. The King was in fact released from his bondage, while Thrall had to escape.
While his distrust of the Orcs is warranted, is rash accusation of Thrall when faced with the betrayal of a completely different race (or members therein) makes me question his thinking, and my faith in his leadership.

Wow I had some typos.
*I myself think we have a very, very good leader.
I apologize.

Oh by no means do I believe it was Thrall’s fault-
I think the king merely sees all the wrong the horde as a faction has
done to prevent what he sees as the perfect world from forming.
Perhaps blind to the wrongdoings of his own people,
but I shall see him as a great leader nonetheless.
Too long have we been led by a small child, we now have a leader who-
I believe the King and Jaina counterbalance each other in a way- brilliant on Blizzard’s part.
regardless of which side you acquaint yourself with- is unquestionably passionate about and will to defend the Alliance at whatever cost.
We now have him and lady Jaina Proudmoore (also an amazing character in the lore) leading and defending us
I would write more, but I have to level my paladin! I need to complete this quest line again… The Battle for Undercity awaits. =D

Again… I will revise my errors. In the future I will reread what I write, just writing about the lore (which I’m a big fan of) gets me a bit hastey. And I usually am not so grammatically inclined to fail
