We took my Mom and the kids to the beach on Sunday. We went to Pacific Beach first, and quickly found shorts and bathing suits were not warm enough. Great time for me to finally get the nerve to buy a bikini. It was also quite smokey, due to the Northern Cali wildfires. So, we ate our lunch, and headed up to Ocean Shores. The drive out to the beach areas are something else. You drive through woods, farm country, etc. Unlike Ocean City, NJ where you drive through city. It is so much different than the part of WA I am used to seeing every day. Matter of fact it makes me want to retire out there. There are several farm style plots of land, perfect for having a few horses. And it’s within 20 miles of the shore. Hubby could go freshwater and sea fishing, I could ride, and walk, and sell photos on the beach! 16 years before we can start working on final plans though…lol!

When we arrived at Ocean Shores, which is a sea side type town with hotels, shops, restaurants, we found out you could drive down on the beach. That’s convenient and all but there’s no control. People drive two abroad, you constantly dodge traffic. However we still managed to enjoy ourselves. The water was hurt your bones cold, so there wasn’t alot of swimming. But there was plenty of wading and splashing to be done.
