Last night, I had a first. My semi geared (6 epics, a couple blues, at least 4 greens) tree went to SSC. There were 16 of us, and we decided to play with the trash. I didn’t have long to play since we had to go to the airport and pick up my Mom. But I was excited to try out my new role as a tree. I realized quickly I was healing like a priest. Habit I guess. So I started spamming my HoT’s around the raid. I never ran out of mana? I was expecting to, and waiting to. It just didn’t happen.  /tree dance
I was easily able to do my dailies, it was a bit slow going, but it wasn’t awful. I think I’m going to try it in cat form today. I considered trying a 0/20/41 build but I hate giving up Brambles and Insect Swarm. Anyhow, back on track. As we killed some trash Wildfury Greatstaff dropped. Not a feral druid anywhere, just us trees. I won the roll! So, I have a kitty/bear weapon. I can’t wait to get into healing with her full time. I know, strange hearing that from me, the girl convinced healing wasn’t for her, but it turns out, it was possibly just Priest healing that wasn’t for me.

Of course there were some deaths. Only 2 for me, but one was spectacular. Lurker. I didn’t get in the water fast enough so he put me in the water. Ok, more accurately he put me across the water. I died in mid air, and skipped like a flat stone across the water where I landed and sank. He really packs a punch for a fish! Off to do dailies.

That basically sums up my view on parenting teenagers this week. Contant sniping, snarking, fighting, ugh. And talking behind eaxh others’ backs! No matter how many millions of times I have lectured on the horrors of this disgusting behavior, they still do it. They are SISTERS for Pete’s sake!

In other news, I finally found MY coffee mug. You know, that one special mug, just the right size,weight, shape and design. I’ve been looking for months, and nothing caught my eye. Finally, it appeared at the PX. ACU (Army combat uniform) patterned background, and I Love (heart) My Soldier in red and blue (Oops look at that my Hooah is showing again). I also got a chain for my 2 pendants that I thought I’d lost last summer that my dear friend Lizz helped me find. The price of gold shot up since my last chain, ugh. The pendants in case you wondered were the cross rifles (infantry insignia) and a half mizpah coin (the lord watch between me and thee while we are absent from one another). My neck no longer feels naked.

I don’t wear much jewelry, just my wedding/engagement/anniversary rings, my italian charm bracelet (yes Mo, the same one you gave me what…5 years ago?…never take it off) my Eeyore watch, birthstone ring, and THAT necklace. So, when ONE is missing it’s like a lost friend. And every piece has meaning, doubling the feel of an absence.

My Mom is arriving here in WA tomorrow night. Plans are to run her ragged. Ok not really, just a trip to the Pacific ocean, and a Zoo, the rest of the week we’ll probably just hang around post. But there are quite a few things to do here too. Oh and, we’ll probably hit a casino too.

I feel strange at the moment. I know my friends in Alaska are facing their next deployment. And you’d probably think I’d be saying to myself thank God we aren’t there. But that isn’t the case. It feels very…disconcerting(?) to watch them go through it, and not be going through it with them. The last time we all did it together. So to all of ya, you know I’m thinking about you guys, and praying for the best!

Well, that is that, I have dinner to finish, a game to play (and blog about too) and kids to strangle. Have a day!

So, as I was looking at Synthessia tonight, in her newly acquired set of wings, I noticed something in her markings, Do you see what I see? (Let’s ignore the fact that a bird shouldn’t have visible ears for the moment kk?)
