Finally heard from hubby last night. Thank all that is Holy for THAT. Today I heard from him again. That made my whole day. Even with internet in his room, I never know when “next time” is going to be, and I have a very hard time when day 3 rolls around with no word. I almost worry more because I know it’s in his room, and it scares me if he can’t get to it. Rational thought takes a holiday and  ends up prying my nails out of the ceiling.  Toto isn’t in predictable Kansas anymore, he’s now in the territory of the wicked witch and things are never quite normal. And those damned flying monkeys are rabid.

Anyhow, my youngest daughter grounded me to the upstairs and surprised me with a clean living room and kitchen. How cool was that. I’ll be surprising her with a new CD that she wants. I already bought it from yahoo, I just have to burn a copy. After that was our FRG meeting. I hung around a bit and talked to  over lunch. Found out a couple Trace Adkins songs bring me to mind…lol and I happen to adore them both. Hell, that man could read me the yellow pages and I’d be happy. Him and Toby Keith. The only two men on earth I’d consider an extra marital affair with…lol even then they’d probably loseWeight Exercise up against my sexy soldier boy. I picked up another of Trace’s cd’s today, an older one and there is a really hot song on there too.  Lyrics will be under the cut. I grabbed some Keith Urban CD’s too, and a special one for hubby. I can’t say here cuz he snoops :P

After all that I came home and got into bummy clothes and got to the yardwork. It’s fall cleanup time. I got the yard mowed, trimmed around the fences. And ON the fences, seems my neighbors are having a competition for Alaska’s largest residential wheat field, and it grew through my fence. Tomorrow I need to rake, clean up doggy piles, till a few places, seed, water, and clean the deck. Then I have to remove the hose from the roller and put it out front and give the truck a good scrub down. So much construction dust! I want to get  her clean before the snow flies. After that I’ll put all my deck stuff in the garage, haul two old loveseats to the dumpster, and call it a summer. Ok, so that’s a weeks worth of work so I guess I’ll be quite busy this week. Barring any surprise kidnappings. My back is not happy with me, neither is my 13 year old at this point.

Can’t wait to hear this song with the right guy….

“Baby I’m Home”- Trace Adkins (Album: Songs About Me)

Down the street, up the drive
Park the car, step outside
Across the lawn, up the stairs
On the porch, I’m getting there

Key in the lock, through the door
Down the hall I’ve walked so many times before
I’m dog-tired, but I don’t care
Bedroom door, I’m getting there

She’s got a hundred candles burning
She’s got next-to-nothing on, yeah, yeah

[Chorus:]
Baby, I’m home
I’ve been away way too long
I’ve been waitin’, I’ve been workin’
Wantin’ you so bad it’s hurtin’
Now I’m back where I belong
Baby I’m home

My arms around you, your lips to mine
Feel our hearts beat-beatin’ in time
Hands in your hair, everywhere
I hear you whisper, I’m gettin there

She’s got a hundred candles burning
They’ll be burning all night long, yeah, yeah

Baby, I’m home
I’ve been away way too long
I’ve been waitin’, I’ve been workin’
Wantin’ you so bad it’s hurtin’
Now I’m back where I belong
Baby I’m home

Every night without you, I’ve been dreamin’ ’bout tonight
Missin’ everything about you, girl there’s no place like

Baby I’m home
I’ve been away way too long
Baby I’m home
I’ve been away way too long

Baby, I’m home
I’ve been away way too long
I’ve been waitin’, I’ve been workin’
Wantin’ you so bad it’s hurtin’
Now I’m back where I belong
Baby I’m home

Yeah baby I’m home
Oh I couldn’t wait to get here
Yeah baby I’m home
Let me lock the door, close the curtains
That’s what I been missin’ right there
Looks like it’s gonna be a long night
I miss you
